I believe that being productive in life depends on the environment, culture, work type of a person, irrespective of working or stay-at-home moms.

Although we have many things under consideration like family, kids, chores, planning prior can help balance the work and life effectively.

According to Wikipedia, “Productivity is the efficiency of production of goods or services expressed by some measure.”

  • Productivity is not only crucial for working moms, but also for stay-at-home parents.
  • Being productive helps us in a lot of ways to attain success in life.
  • It is like a boost to do things and live a life with lots of confidence and self-motivation.

Having children vs Productivity

Many of us still confuse about having a child and being productive. But fact having a child makes us more productive.

Does this sound silly?

Just imagine, 

When we have kids with us, our responsibilities get doubled.

Automatically we start multi-doing things right from household chores, taking care of essential needs of our baby, family, workplace stuff (for working mom), and much more.

So organizing the time to do those tasks and get them completed becomes mandatory and without any compromise.

So having kids around always gives us push in doing things and get prepared for next.

These 7 Productive tips for busy moms help in giving an idea of organizing the task and keep balance on all things around.

Create a To-Do list:

  • Creating a To-Do list is more important than before start doing any task.
  • Make a list before you start doing any work, either at night before going to sleep or when you wake up in the morning.
  • It helps in making complicated things into simple ones.
  • Making a checklist usually helps.
  • For Instance, instead of writing on the list as household chores break into pieces like cooking, laundering, cleaning, etc. 

Schedule the task

  • Identify the priorities of the work and then schedule the tasks.
  • Once the checklist is ready, start doing your work in a fresh mind while the kids are sleeping.
  • It helps to do a flawless job at the same speed in completing that particular task.

Multi-doing:

  • Multi-doing is the gift that all women possess naturally.
  • But making things listed and organized helps us achieve multi-doing without any difficulty.
  • Combinational tasks usually help in making it simple.
  • For Instance, while the clothes for laundering we can start cooking or clean the house this way of doing combinational task aid us in completing the task fast and get lots of additional time.
  • Multi-doing in our workplace is applied while segregating the task based on priorities.

Self-care in routine

  • A self-care routine can be anything that makes you happy.

  • Determining or fixing a particular work spot helps you to do the task effectively.
  • When you’re doing work from home, setting a work spot is mandatory.
  • For Instance, When we try to do our work on a laptop from our bed, finally, the entire process gets messed up.
  •  Although doing work from bed is a routine, sometimes our sleeping habits will get disturbed.
  • So having a work zone can make things more productive and helps to accomplish the task efficiently.

Get help from Kids

  • If you are a busy mom while multi-doing works getting timely help from your kid is crucial.
  • Encouraging in doing small things around can help to built confidence and independence in a child.
  • Kid’s interest in doing a small help when they are around 1-2 years should be encouraged. An example, picking the toys putting them in Toys Bin.
  • While they grow up, small changes in their chores like placing the plate in the sink after food, folding small clothes, pairing socks, cleaning their little table, keeping their things organized after play, and so on.
  • My little one usually makes a habit of running back to turn on the washing machine, Scooping a coffee powder or sugar while making coffee.
  • Motivating to do this kind of small activity will give confidence that makes them open to help us in certain things without any hesitation. 

Allot Time for kids

  • Spending some 20-30 min between your work time usually helps.

  • After that, with proper practice and consistency, they will start playing independently.
  • In the Initial stages, kids need us around them to play, giving a precise understanding of the importance of our work, as we set a short duration of independent play and later increasing it can make them feel comfortable and easy for us to get back to work.

The importance of being productive is a necessary factor in our life, as stay-at-home or working moms in getting a balance of our family and chores. These 7 productivity tips help a busy mom get things on track and accomplish them.
